Honey for your good health
Honey. We know what honey is. It’s a dense liquid sweet food for all. It is one of nature’s wonders. From prehistoric age people use honey as food and medicine as well. It’s Indian name is ‘Madhu’. It is collected from beehives. Bees collect nectar from fruits and flowers then the nectar is processed in their body to honey and finally they store it in hives for their new coming babies. But the honey is highly nutrient food for human babies too as well as people of all ages. So, we should take honey as our regular food item.
Honey helps us prevent diseases. It helps us building internal immune system strong. It contains lecithin which can dissolve LDL which is responsible for blood pressure, heart attacks and brain strokes. It contains iron which helps grow blood cells. So an anemic person who has low blood pressure can take honey regularly. It strengthens the white blood cells in body to fight against germs and bacteria. Honey can relieve you from constipation. Taking two teaspoons of honey with lemon juice in a glass of water before breakfast can relieve you from constipation. Honey can be used as sedative in sleeping disorder. Before going to bed have a glass of lukewarm milk mixed with two teaspoons of honey. When you are dieting you can add honey to your food list easily for good result. It is a quick source of energy. It has the power to decrease your hunger for food. Ultimately you can lose extra weight easily. It is used in treatment of gastric or peptic stomach ulcers. Honey contains calcium which can help children build their bones and teeth perfectly. Honey also acts as an antioxidant. I’ve proved it that honey can stop hiccups all at once. It reduces coughs. It helps improve eyesight, so one who works sitting before computer can take for regular basis. Consuming one teaspoon of honey can lead us a long-lasting healthy life. Honey can be used for good mental health. Its ingredients help you become calming natured. It reduces stress.
Composition: honey is composed of carbohydrates, glucose, fructose, sucrose, maltose and minerals like potassium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphate, zinc. It contains vitamin A, B complex and vitamin C. It’s flavor and odor depend on flowers the bees gather the nectar from.
You can buy honey from your local store or buy online from amazon store. Amazon provides you honey with reasonable price and variety of collections. You can select a Wedderspoon Raw Organic Manuka Honey Active 16+, 17.6-Ounce Jar or Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Fair Trade Raw Honey. Raw honey is more nutrient than processed honey in any sense. Processed honey loses some necessary ingredients in it. Those lost ingredients help fighting against germs and bacteria. So, I’ll advocate for raw honey to buy so that you can have the full nutrient factors stored in honey.
Honey can be used for external use also. It can be used for wounds, burns and skin conditioning such as facial masque.
So, have the wonderful taste of honey.

You know what, I tried Honey roasted Almonds recipe only a few days back, trust me its was MMMMMMM... Yummy! Very well written.
Liked your other hubs too. Keep up the great work. Joining your fanclub and would like to invite you to join mine. :)
Nice hub! very informative..keep it up!
I love this hub! As a kid I hated honey, my Nanna would make me eat it on bread. These days I love the stuff especially in cooking or with tea and lemon on a cold night, even if I don't have a cold. Here in Australia we have a honey called blue gum honey which has a very strong yet pleasant taste. Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed your hub and have learned a few things about honey.
Bookmarked and voted this one up, will come back again and read it again!
Thanks for your hub. You should warn that some people are VERY ALLERGIC to Honey.
I love honey and honey bees. Since honey bees are endangered and vital for pollination I am thinking about starting a small hive in my yard.
WOW I love honey and yet did not know all these amazing facts about how to buy honey and how it is good for your health. Thanks for the tips and facts about honey! :) Katie
I think I will add honey to my diet, I never knew how beneficial it could be, very good article.

Hi upal-I rated your hub useful with all of its great info. I love bee hives, although I have always avoided swarms of them, LOL My brother in law is thinking of starting beehives.
I enjoy honey and had no idea all of its great health benefits. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Upal-I was about 10 when I got stung by a bee in a field. My grampa put a mud pack on it to draw the stinger out. It still hurt and the mud stunk! LOL
My grandson is very frightened of bees. He was stung quite bad two different times and 'panics' and runs when he hears one buzzing. I keep trying to tell him to stay still and not swat them or run. I don't want him to grow up with a phobia about them. My oldest grandchildren are 11 (granddaughter) and 7 1/2 (grandson). Then, I also have two little grandkids 4 (granddaughter ) and almost 3 (grandson). I sometimes write hubs about them. I wrote a hub about the 4th of July which was dedicated to my youngest grandson who was born on our countries Independence Day. :)
Yes, they are great. Thanks.

I always try to use honey in place of sugar whenever I can. Baking apples with honey and oats is really easy, but a quite tasty and more nutritious dessert option. It's not vegan, though (not that I am).
Thanks for writing about this!
